History of the Pilbara Builder
They talk about the good old days, but were they really?
I recall working as a carpenter in the 80’s with temperatures in the high 40’s, looking back I’m not so sure?
I’ve site managed projects under similar conditions in the 90’s and compared with project managing from an air conditioned office, there were moments. Still fond memories.
What it all gave me was an understanding of the lifestyle and working in the Pilbara. I am familiar with the Hamersley Iron houses in the older suburbs like Millars Well, Bulgarra and Pegs Creek and have constructed new houses in the newer locations like Baynton and Nickol.
I have constructed many commercial projects in the LIA and shop fit-outs in the Karratha Shopping Centre. Because of my experience over such a long period, Insurance Companies rely on my services to assess damages as a result of cyclones.
Aussies

Christmas is over for another year now.

We like to work with clients and trades alike, everyone trying their best in full colaboration to achieve the best possible result. No heirarchy or contest. We may not be around forever but our work will be standing for a long time after so it had better be right. Can’t have future generations saying we could have done a better job so we make sure we do it now. Work we did over 30 years ago having been through a few cyclones (apart from wear and tear) is as good as new.
